Something different for the first electrical language of 2009. As I’ve got a bit of a sore throat and a croaky voice today I’m glad I did all the work over the last few weeks.
On 13 December 2008 I had a long conversation with Raymond Weir of bands Gum and The Eisenhowers. I have played a number of songs by both bands previously. In this podcast you can hear me talking to Raymond, who has a lot of interesting things to say. It was a fun conversation, and I only used about half of what was recorded. I also play 6 songs:

  • Chinese Whispers, by The Eisenhowers
  • Try Stopping Me Now, by Gum
  • Asleep At The Wheel, by Gum
  • Mr & Mrs Frankenstein, acoustic version played by Raymond (many thanks to Mark Hunter of the tartanpodcast for letting me use his recording)
  • 1969, by The Eisenhowers
  • Icarus Succumbs, by The Eisenhowers

The title music is by Tragic Shell Suit Disaster.
