To celebrate the 200th electrical language podcast, I am joined by my son Richard and by:

Mick Torbay, Alex Oliveira, James Dallas Smith and Len Ottesen. Together, these guys are Toronto’s finest, The Free Press.

The guys gave Richard and me a private gig via skype last week. It was a real treat. 4 of the songs played were recorded then, 3 by the band in their rehearsal studio in Toronto, and one via skype. Unfortunately, technical issues mean that for 2 of the songs I had to use the cd versions.

The songs:

  • Love And Wonder (played live, recorded in Toronto)
  • Stop The War (played live, recorded in Toronto)
  • Bullets For My Wings (played live, recorded in Hampshire via Skype)
  • Parasites (from the ep Storms)
  • National pride (from the album Half Truths And Whole Lies)
  • Weeds (played live, recorded in Toronto)

    Hi Gabor,

Congrats on reaching the 200 show milestone. Still one of the best music podcasts on the internet. Thanks for all the effort, time and love you put into the show, and may there be many more to come.

    Cheers, Bruce

  2. Congratulations Gabor.

Your dedication to “the cause” is appreciated by listeners, artists and fellow podcasters alike.

  3. Congratulations on reaching Show 200, and what a great show! Really enjoyed it. I love the way you say “if anyone’s still listening” as if anyone would not listen right to the end!
